Ahead of the Curve: Parkinson’s Educational Program

Parkinson Association of the Rockies hosts free educational programs in Colorado and Wyoming. Dr. Cynthia McRae teaches in the counseling psychology department at the University of Denver. Dr. McRae specializes in health psychology in regard to Parkinson’s, arthritis, kidney dialysis, and Care Partners for Persons with chronic diseases. Dr. McRae will discuss the challenges for both the Person with Parkinson’s and their Care Partner. We’ll consider some of the psychosocial aspects of PD such as frustration, depression, anxiety, loneliness, etc., and ways to manage these challenges. Audience participation will be valuable as there will be a discussion of personal resources that help us cope and other topics as well.
