Experience the annual evening ride on the East Plum Creek Trail to Festival Park. At the park, kids will enjoy viewing the moon through telescopes set up by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA).
There will be a bike decorating station at Hangman’s Gulch with glow in the dark items. Plus, hot dogs will be served by the Boy Scouts at Festival Park. Keep in mind, all riders must wear a helmet and have a front headlamp and blinking rear light.
The fun-filled evening family bike ride will start at Castle View High School beginning at 7 p.m. There will be a shorter route available that will start from Douglas County High School. The route is 6 miles each way and 12 miles round trip. Thinking of doing a one-way route? Plan ahead and arrange to be picked up at the park.
