Join us for an extraordinary event where we have cultivated a haven of compassion and empathy, creating an environment of shared experiences and deeper comprehension.
This gathering is specifically designed to embrace individuals who have undergone the journey of loss and are currently navigating the challenging path of finding their sense of belonging.
During this event, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, thoughts, and emotions with others who can relate to their struggles, and they will also have an opportunity to meet our speakers. We hope attendees feel supported and understood while participating and exposing their feelings and that they walk away with newly discovered pathways to healing and belonging.

Clear The Shelters™ – an annual animal adoption and donation campaign sponsored by our friends at NBCUniversal Local, Telemundo, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition – runs nationwide throughout the month of August. Since 2015, this transformative campaign has helped more than 860,000 pets across the U.S. and Puerto Rico find new and loving homes.
As a proud participating shelter, the Dumb Friends League hopes to facilitate as many adoptions as possible before the end of this month – and you can help us meet our goal! Whether you choose to adopt, volunteer, or donate to the League, you are helping to clear our shelters and improve our services for the more than 46,000 pets and horses we care for each year.

Nestled in the beautiful setting of Philip S. Miller Park, the Amphitheater has become one of Colorado’s most sought-after live music venues. Each year, the featured acts get bigger and bigger. The Summer Concert Series has hosted dozens of Grammy-nominated, world-famous artists and has made Castle Rock a musical hotspot. These ticketed music events have truly become a signature part of summers in the community.
Night Ranger with special guest 9’s a Pair – The Fireman Band
Gates open at 6 p.m.; Opener 7-8 p.m.; Headliner 8:30-10 p.m.

In honor of the opening of the new Castle Rock Library, the Castle Rock Band will perform a free outdoor concert on August 27 at 3:30 on library grounds at 100 S. Wilcox Street. Musical selections will include “The Teddy Bear’s Picnic” by John Bratton, William Latham’s “Brighton Beach” march, and Naohiro Iwai’s powerful arrangement of the Japanese folk song “Yagi-Bushi.” This is the third of the band’s four-concert summer series.
For many years, the band performed summer concerts in a bandstand in the library parking lot. While the bandstand is gone, the band is pleased to celebrate the new library the day after its grand re-opening.
All Castle Rock Band concerts are presented free of charge as a service to the community. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring folding chairs and sunblock and wrap up the weekend with a delightful performance.
The Castle Rock Band is made up of volunteer musicians from Douglas County and the surrounding area. For more information about joining the band, visit www.CastleRockBand.org.
