Do you have a little learner anxious to start school? Are you worried about getting your child’s education off on the right foot? The Town’s Adventure Club junior preschool, preschool and pre-kindergarten program may be the answer. Registration opens Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Research shows children who attend preschool are more prepared for kindergarten. The Town’s state-licensed program will help make sure your child understands all the basics. The program is accepting children ages 2.5 to 5 for the 2022-2023 school year.
Classes begin the week of Monday, Aug. 29, at the Castle Rock Recreation Center, 2301 Woodlands Blvd. The program generally follows the Douglas County School District calendar for the school year.
Junior Preschool classes are being offered for children ages 2.5 and 3. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. The child’s third birthday must fall after Oct. 1, 2022. Monthly tuition is $130 for residents or $165 for nonresidents.
Preschool classes – for children ages 3 and 4 – are being offered Tuesday and Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to noon, or 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. Children must have reached their third birthday by Oct. 1 to be enrolled in the preschool class. Monthly tuition is $155 for residents or $190 for nonresidents.
Pre-kindergarten is for children ages 4 and 5. Classes are available as either a three-day or five-day program. Pre-kindergarten classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:15 a.m. to noon, or 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. – or Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 3:15 p.m. Children must have reached their fourth birthday by Oct. 1. Monthly pre-kindergarten tuition is $195 for residents or $230 for nonresidents for the three-day-a-week class and $325 ($355 for nonresidents) for the five-day class.
The Town’s Adventure Club Preschool has earned a Level 3 rating from Colorado Shines for excellence in early learning. Colorado Shines is a free service offered through the Colorado Department of Human Services’ Office of Early Childhood, which rates Colorado’s early care and learning program. Preschool programs with a high rating offer a program that is safe and supports healthy development.
