Think beyond the canvas, expand your palette and get ready for an Artrageous experience for the entire family. The performing troupe will take over Festival Park for First Fridays Sept. 6.
Artrageous is a troupe of 12 artists, singers, dancers and musicians. Their high-energy performance is a combination of fine art, live music, singing, dancing, humor and interaction in a frenzy of movement and color. The troupe will bring its passion for the arts and will leave the audience smiling, singing and dancing along.
Head to Festival Park to enjoy the live performance, food trucks, cocktails, kids’ activities and more. Cocktails and family fun begins at 5 p.m., and the performance begins at 6 p.m. Please note, setup will be taking place for the Castle Rock Artfest Friday night, so Perry Street will be closed.

Art run helps kick off First Fridays and celebrates East Plum Creek Trail Extension
Before indulging in the Friday fun, the 5K After 5 series will keep you moving through the summer season. September’s theme is an Art Run, so break out that tie-dye. The run begins at 5:30 p.m. Registration and details are available at CRgov.com/Races.
To celebrate the newly completed section of East Plum Creek Trail, there will also be a 10K commemorative run. Both 5K and 10K racers will be among the first on the new trail extension. Get more details about the event at CRgov.com/EPCTrailProject.
