Volunteering is a great way to show one’s love for their community and help make it a better place for all. The Town has launched its own volunteer web service, focused on opportunities to give back in Castle Rock.
The new resource at CRgov.com/Volunteer features many ways to get involved. Options currently available include park and trail clean-ups with the POST Partners Program, street adoptions through the Road Rangers Program, and the annual Spring Up the Creek event.
Offerings are also being added with the Therapeutic Recreation Program for Special Olympics swimming, golf and soccer practices and tournaments, as well as the Dreams Come True Prom in April. Additionally, the Castle Rock Senior Center will soon post openings for shuttle drivers and more. Options for volunteer athletic coaches will be included, too.
“We’re very excited to offer Castle Rock residents a new, streamlined way to find and sign up for volunteer opportunities in Town,” said POST Partners Volunteer Program Coordinator Marcy Jones. “Our hope for the new platform is to bring our community together around volunteerism and create a dynamic online volunteer community.”
Through the online platform, volunteers can search for possibilities to help by date and opportunity. They also can learn more about each program before signing up.
Even small tasks can make a big difference. Visit CRgov.com/Volunteer to explore chances to give back to the community.
