The spotlight will shine on Castle Rock next year when Colorado Life Magazine features an article about the city in its March/April 2015 issue. Colorado Life writer and photographer Joshua Hardin is coming to town in the next few weeks to research the article. Castle Rock residents with local story leads about colorful characters and interesting anecdotes are asked to contact the magazine.
Colorado Life celebrates the people and places of Colorado through stories and photos. The magazine’s articles cover a wide array of subjects, from frontier cannibal Alfred Packer, to snowshoe getaways in mountain yurts, to craft beer innovators like Oskar Blues.
The Castle Rock article will give the magazine’s 80,000-plus readers a snapshot of life in and around town, covering the people, current happenings, history and culture that make this place special.
“We chose to write about Castle Rock to give it the statewide attention it deserves,” said Colorado Life Magazine assistant editor Matt Masich. “Many people along the Front Range are familiar with the city for its shopping and outdoor activities, but we want to dig a little deeper to find out why Castle Rock is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s best places to live.”
Masich said Castle Rock residents who wish to suggest leads or ideas for this story or other stories can contact Hardin directly at jhardin@coloradolifemagazine.com.
The March/April 2015 issue featuring Castle Rock will be available March 1, 2015.
Colorado Life Magazine, based in Estes Park, publishes six issues a year and is available by subscription and on newsstands statewide.
