Castle Rock Police Department is thrilled to announce the return of National Night Out. This fun, family-friendly party is back in Town on Aug. 3.
CRPD joins agencies from across the country in participating in this national event. All Castle Rock residents are invited to attend from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Philip S. Miller Park pavilions.
“This is such a special evening, and we’re so happy we can bring it back this year,” said Police Chief Jack Cauley. “National Night Out is a great example of our One-By-One Policing philosophy in action. Our officers truly enjoy spending time with residents and connecting with them on a more personal and individual level.”
Those in attendance will have an opportunity to interact with the various divisions and specialized units at CRPD, participate in a number of hands-on activities and watch demonstrations put on by members of the team. In addition, there will be plenty of giveaways for kids – including a prize for the child who has collected the most Castle Rock Police Trading Cards!
“We love that this event gives citizens a glimpse into what our officers and staff members do on a daily basis,” said Chief Cauley. “It’s a great opportunity for people to meet us, ask questions and understand why and how we respond to different situations.”
Come hungry, as Castle Rock’s men and women in blue will also be manning the grills, serving up free hotdogs, hamburgers and beverages to attendees.
National Night Out is a countrywide campaign that was created to help foster positive relationships between police departments and the residents they serve. The event is hosted annually on the first Tuesday in August.
